Clarification from Hanuman Ansh Producers Amid Reported Disagreements
Producers of 'Hanuman Ansh' address disputes over film rights, publicity, and distribution in an official statement, ensuring proper representation.

The production team behind the film 'Hanuman Ansh', a biopic focusing on Neem Karoli Baba, has issued a statement addressing internal disagreements. Director Dr Vishal Chaturvedi and producer Namrata G Singh clarified their roles in an announcement shared through Swambhu Media Network. They identified themselves as the Executive Directors and designated representatives for the film's public relations, marketing, and partnerships.

The statement underscored that all rights related to 'Hanuman Ansh', including theatrical, streaming, and broadcasting, are collectively held. It specifically warned against any individuals claiming to represent the film independently. The note reiterated, "Hanuman Ansh has one authorised channel,” further establishing the necessity for all negotiations and arrangements to adhere to existing agreements among the producers.

Namrata G Singh and Dr Vishal Chaturvedi emphasised that they are exclusively authorised to handle public relations and marketing for the film. All daily coordination with partners, media, and platforms must be conducted through them. Furthermore, the creators indicated that no individual producer has the authority to make any business deals independently.

The statement also outlined protocols for cast and crew members wishing to represent the film in public forums. Such engagements must be authorised through the film's official channels. Additionally, they affirmed that credits in the film would remain consistent with official listings, and that the production company intends to safeguard its interests rigorously.

While the public statement clarified various operational details, it also noted that the film's production team consists of four producers: Namrata G Singh, Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, Ragini Sona, and Anupriya Nagar. The rights to the film are collectively managed, requiring consensus from all four for matters relating to publicity and partnerships both in India and internationally.

This assertion follows previous reports detailing rifts among the film’s key members. An earlier article in Screen suggested concerns over publicity, mentioning that one producer allegedly received more attention than others, raising questions about the future of the Hanuman Ansh franchise.

Despite the internal turmoil, 'Hanuman Ansh' has achieved substantial commercial success. The film was produced on an estimated budget of Rs 2 crore and has grossed Rs 452.86 crore globally, as per figures from industry tracker Sacnilk.

Directed by Dr Vishal Chaturvedi, the film showcases the life of Neem Karoli Baba, a revered figure whose followers are widespread both in India and abroad. Released in theatres on August 7, the streaming release details are still pending announcement. Meanwhile, Producer Anupriya Nagar has previously mentioned plans for a trilogy, indicating the intention to further explore Neem Karoli Baba's narrative. However, current negotiations suggest differing viewpoints among the producers regarding storytelling direction moving forward.
