Alia Bhatt Calls for Removal of Video Showing New Mumbai Home
Alia Bhatt demands the removal of a viral video depicting her private residence, declaring it an invasion of privacy and a security concern.
Alia Bhatt, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has recently voiced her concerns over the unauthorized circulation of a video featuring her new home in Bandra, Mumbai. The video, which shows the exterior of the actor's six-storey bungalow, has attracted significant attention on social media platforms. Bhatt, who resides in the property with her husband, fellow actor Ranbir Kapoor, described the incident as a 'clear invasion of privacy' and a serious security threat.

Bhatt took to her Instagram account to express her dismay over the capturing and sharing of footage without her consent. She pointed out that the video was recorded from a neighbouring balcony, highlighting the limitations of urban living in a city like Mumbai, where privacy can be compromised due to closely situated properties. In her post, she stated, "This is a clear invasion of privacy and a serious security issue. Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not ‘content’; it’s a violation." She urged the media and her fans to refrain from sharing or resharing such invasive material.

The actress continued by challenging the normalcy of such actions, asking, "Would you tolerate videos of the inside of your home being shared publicly without you knowing? None of us would." Ultimately, she called on media outlets to remove any related content immediately, emphasising the importance of respecting individual privacy.

Alia Bhatt's request comes at a time when discussions around privacy rights for public figures are increasingly relevant. As social media continues to thrive, the blurred lines between public interest and personal privacy often become a contentious topic. Bhatt’s statement serves as a reminder of the need for sensitivity regarding individuals' private lives.
