Serbia has issued a commemorative stamp in recognition of India's 75th anniversary of independence.

According to a tweet from the Indian Embassy in Serbia, Serbia's first Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic attended the issue of the unique stamp and his participation highlighted the "close relationship" between the two countries.

India's Embassy in Serbia tweeted, "Serbia Post released a special stamp today to honour the 75th Anniversary of our Independence #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav. Presence of the First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister of Serbia @MFASerbia underlined our close friendship @MEAIndia."

The Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted, "The Post Office of #Serbia released a special stamp today to honour the 75th Anniversary of #India’s independence. DPM/FM #Dacic pointed out that next year Serbia and India celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, which are marked by traditional friendship."

According to Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, India and Serbia have long-standing, cordial connections that date back to the Non-Aligned Movement's founding. Additionally, both countries share a lot of the same opinions on global issues and have a desire to enhance political communication and policy-related collaboration.

It is pertinent to note that the Indian government has started the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav effort to commemorate the country's 75th anniversary of independence as well as the illustrious past of its people, culture, and accomplishments. the formal journey of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav started on March 12 this year and will culminate after a year, on August 15, 2023, to mark the 75th anniversary of independence.
