Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasised the importance of skilling India's youth for a better future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the 10 lakh-person recruitment scheme known as "Rozgar Mela" through a video conference on Saturday. During the ceremony, 75,000 people received appointment letters.

In his address to the appointees, Prime Minister Modi said that these 75,000 young people are receiving appointment letters from the central government in honour of the country's 75th anniversary of independence.

He said that the conclusion of the selection process for the thousands of open positions in a matter of months and the issuing of appointment letters are evidence of the transformation of the government system over the last 7-8 years.

He said, "Today, work culture is changing. The efficiency of government departments has increased due to the efforts of our Karmayogis."

The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of skilling India's youth for a better future, focusing on the industries that provide the most jobs, such as agriculture, the private sector, and MSME. He went on to say that, aside from self-help organizations, the best examples of generating employment in villages are Khadi and village industries.

Additionally, he stated that the central government is actively working on several fronts at once "to create more and more jobs in the country." He pointed out that massive development work is being done, providing thousands of young people with local job prospects.

At the conclusion of his address, Prime Minister Modi stated that the "youth of the nation" is India's greatest asset because they are the ones who are creating a developed India in the "Azadi ka Amrit Kaal." Furthermore, he advised new appointees to keep their "Kartavya Paths" in mind when entering workplaces.

In June, the Prime Minister had ordered that 10 lakh individuals be hired on a "mission mode" within the next 18 months by various government agencies and ministries.

According to a statement released by the PM's Office, this action will go a long way toward enabling the Prime Minister to continue his commitment to guaranteeing the welfare of citizens and giving young people access to employment opportunities.
