This is the third time PM Modi has topped the list of the most popular international leaders

With a 75% approval rating, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has topped the list of most well-liked international leaders for the third time, according to a Morning Consult Survey.

In the list, PM Modi is followed by Ecuadorian President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (63%), newly elected Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese (58%) and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi (54%).

US President Joe Biden is way down the list with 41% of the vote as are Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (39%) and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida (38%).

In November 2021 and January 2022, too, PM Modi topped the list of the most popular international leaders.

Morning Consult, a website which provides this survey, offers up-to-date information about elections, lawmakers, and current affairs. More than 20,000 interviews are conducted every day.

According to the website, the most recent approval ratings are based on information gathered between August 17 and August 23, 2022. Each country's sample size varies, and approval ratings are based on a seven-day moving average of its adult citizens.

A sample of people that is nationally representative is used for all online interviews. The sample of this survey represents the literate population in India.
