The Prime Minister will interact with District Magistrates of over 40 districts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a review meeting with districts having low Covid-19 vaccination coverage on Wednesday.

He will hold the meeting via video conferencing soon after attending the G20 Summit and COP26, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said on Sunday.

The meeting will include districts with less than 50% coverage of the first dose and low coverage of the second dose of Covid vaccine.

The Prime Minister will interact with District Magistrates of over 40 districts in Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, and other States with districts having low vaccination coverage.

The Chief Ministers of these States will also be present on the occasion.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 106.14 crore (1,06,14,40,335) as per provisional reports till 7 am on Sunday.

This has been achieved through 1,06,01,975 vaccination sessions.
