India's cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed the 860-million mark

With 26,041 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours, India’s active caseload stood at 2,99,620 - the lowest in 191 days.

Active cases currently account for only 0.89 per cent of the total COVID-19 cases in the country as per the health ministry’s data.

The country witnessed 29,621 recoveries in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 3,29,31,972.

India’s recovery rate currently stands at 97.78 per cent.

According to the health ministry, there have been 38,18,362 vaccinations in the past 24 hours, taking total vaccine doses administered till date to 86.01 crore.

Till 7 am on Monday, 22,69,42,725 people had received both doses of the vaccine so far. This represents 24% of the eligible population (94.4 crores) and 16.3% of the total population (139 crores).

With 11,65,006 COVID-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the total tests conducted so far stand at 56.44 crore.

The weekly positivity rate, at 1.94 per cent, has been less than 3 per cent for the last 94 days, while the daily positivity rate, at 2.24 per cent, has been less than 3 per cent for the last 28 days.
