On account of constant ramping up of medical facilities, recoveries have exceeded the active cases by nearly 16 lakh in India.

With India consistently ramping up testing and other medical facilities, the number of patients recovering from the fatal Covid-19 disease is increasing in the country. India today boasts a 75 percent recovery rate among Covid-19 patients.

In the last 24 hours, 57,989 patients recovered from the disease, thereby taking the total number of recoveries to 22,80,566 in the country.

As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country viz. the active cases, has reduced and currently comprises only 23.24 percent of the total positive cases.

This has also resulted in a gradually falling mortality rate. Currently at 1.86%, India’s Case Fatality Rate (CFR) is one of the lowest globally. It has been made possible because by comprehensive and sustained effectiveness of the Centre’s policy of TESTING aggressively, TRACKING comprehensively & TREATING efficiently.

Increasing number of recoveries and declining mortality rate among COVID patients have shown that India's graded and proactive strategies are delivering results on the field.
