The health card will store details of an individual Indian national’s health condition, test reports and medicines prescribed by a doctor.

Speaking from the ramparts of the Red Fort, Prime Minister Modi in his speech on the 74th Independence Day, maintained India is ready to mass produce Covid-19 vaccine once scientists give nod.

He announced providing a digital health card to every Indian which will have details of his health condition, test reports and medicines prescribed by a doctor. For this, every Indian will be provided with a unique health ID.

Talking about Covid-19 vaccine, he said, “Not one, not two, as many as three coronavirus vaccines are being tested in India. Along with mass-production, the roadmap for distribution of vaccines to every single Indian in the least possible time is also ready.”

He further said, "Whether it is making a doctor’s appointment, depositing money or running around for documents in the hospital, the mission will help remove all such challenges."

Mentioning about reviving the virus-hit economy, The Prime Minister said India’s infrastructure sector would be enhanced by spending more than 110 trillion ($1.47 trillion) rupees on around 7000 projects, which will assist the growth of the nation by creating jobs and boosting small-scale businesses across the country.
