Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural address at the virtual meet which is spread across three days and has 75 sessions

The India Global Week 2020 on the theme ‘Be The Revival : India and a Better New World’, begins in the United Kingdom (UK) on Thursday. The event will have 5,000 participants from 30 nations being addressed by 250 global speakers across 75 sessions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver the inaugural address at the three-day virtual meet.

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, UK Home Secretary Priti Patel, and the United States Ambassador to India Ken Juster are among the other high-profile speakers participating in the event, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

“Will be addressing the India Global Week, organised by @IndiaIncorp at 1:30 PM tomorrow. This forum brings together global thought leaders and captains of industry, who will discuss aspects relating to opportunities in India as well as the global economic revival post-COVID,” PM Modi said on Twitter.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Railways, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu will also address the virtual gathering.

Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar are also among the speakers at the event.

The mega event, being organised online due to the restrictions in place amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, will feature a performance titled “Atmanirbhar Bharat” by Madhu Nataraj.

Another highlight will be a special 100th birth anniversary concert in tribute to sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar by three of his most eminent students

According to the organisers of the event, “India Global Week is where India meets the World, and the World meets India”.
