District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali khan chaired grievance redressal camp at Naranag, Kangan on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, the DDC said that efforts are afoot to bring the Naranag on the tourist map of the district. Besides being a heritage site, the area has a lot to offer to the tourists by way of site seeing, trekking and other forms of adventure tourism, he said.

Present on the occasion were ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, SDM Kangan, CMO, executive engineers of PHE, PDD and PMGSY, AD Food besides other concerned.

During the camp, issues regarding transport, snow clearance, augmentation of water supply, up-gradation of transformers, staff dearth in Higher Secondary School Wangath, upgradation of school building besides other issues of public importance were projected by the people.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the public grievances and issued on spot directions to concerned officers for immediate redressal of the projected demands. He assured them that the district administration would ensure the disposal of all the genuine issues raised by the people on priority.
