The visit reemphasises Indian Navy being the preferred training destination in the region

An eight member delegation from the Bangladesh Navy Operational Sea Training Group (BNOSTG) visited Headquarters Sea Training at Kochi in Kerala to witness Operational Sea Training at the Southern Naval Command.

As part of the orientation training, an interactive session along with practical classes on seamanship, firefighting, damage control, first aid and safety at sea were conducted, India's Ministry of Defence said on Monday.

The interactive sessions also provided an opportunity to exchange the best practices followed.

The BNOSTG visited various training facilities and simulators which provided a professional insight into operational sea training.

"The visit reemphasises Indian Navy being the preferred training destination adopting evolving tactics and technologies," the defence ministry pointed out.

In July this year, a Bangladesh Navy Training delegation had visited the Indian Naval Academy (INA). The training delegation was formally briefed about the Academy and all aspects of training.

The team visited Academic and Outdoor training facilities which included simulators, Mulla Aquatics complex, Arjun Baffle Range, Equitation training, Panini Library, electronics, computer and engineering labs. The team members were acquainted with the training philosophy and training processes at INA.
