Assam has played a key role in the development of language journalism in India as the state has been a very vibrant place from the point of view of journalism, he pointed out.
Prime Minister Modi praised Dainik Agradoot for being a "strong voice of the Northeast in the Assamese language" and for preserving the ideals of harmony and togetherness via journalism.
The Prime Minister continued by discussing the situation that Assam has recently been dealing with because of floods. He went on to assure us that CM Sarma and his team are working extremely hard day and night to provide relief and rescue.
PM Modi also discussed the significance of the new National Education Policy (NEP) by highlighting the dilemma of how intellectual space can continue to be restricted to a small number of speakers of a single language.
