The advisory came after weekend curfew was lifted from the Ukrainian capital

Ukrainian Railways is organising special trains for evacuation from Kyiv, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine said on Monday as it advised students to make their way to the city's railway station for onward journey to the western parts of the country.

The advisory came as weekend curfew was lifted from the Ukrainian capital, which has reported heavy fighting in nearby regions after the Russian invasion began on Thursday morning.

"Weekend curfew lifted in Kyiv. All students are advised to make their way to the railway station for onward journey to the western parts.
Ukraine Railways is putting special trains for evacuations" the Indian Embassy said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, several 24×7 Control Centres have been established to assist in Operation Ganga for the evacuation of Indians from Ukraine.

These centres will assist in the evacuation of Indian nationals through the border crossing points with Poland, Romania, Hungary and Slovak Republic, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.

The Ministry has also created a dedicated Twitter account - @opganga - to assist during Operation Ganga.

The Indian embassy in Kyiv had earlier urged Indian citizens to not move to any of the border posts without prior coordination with the Indian government officials there, using the helpline numbers.

Indian nationals are being brought back under Operation Ganga via a bunch of flights from the crisis-hit region since the past few days. On Sunday morning 250 people landed in Delhi; 219 had landed in Mumbai on Saturday evening.

A flight carrying 249 stranded Indian nationals departed from Romania's Bucharest for Delhi under Operation Ganga on Monday morning.

Another flight, the sixth under Operation Ganga, departed from Hungarian capital Budapest.
