EAM S Jaishankar is on a three-day visit to Singapore
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday met Singapore Finance Minister Lawrence Wong and exchanged views on the growth prospects of the two countries.
Tweeting about it, Jaishankar wrote: “Glad to meet Finance Minister @LawrenceWongST. Interesting exchange of views on the growth prospects of our ties.”
The EAM also held a meeting with Singapore’s Health Minister Ong Ye Kung and discussed Covid-19 experience and health security cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier on Thursday, he held productive discussions with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Bala. “Thank FM @VivianBalafor hosting me this evening. Singapore's perspectives are always valuable,” Jaishankar tweeted.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar arrived in Singapore on an official three-day visit during which he will call on Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and will hold a series of meetings with other senior ministers, the Indian High Commission said.
Earlier Jaishankar met Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies.
"Glad to meet @Tharman_s, Singapore Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies. Good discussion on the international economic situation," Jaishankar tweeted.
"Had a constructive discussion on global and regional economic priorities and the deeper collaborations we must build," wrote Tharman in a Facebook post on November 18.
