EAM Jaishankar to attend Deccan Dialogue tomorrow

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will on Monday participate in Deccan Dialogue to be hosted by the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

An initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, Deccan Dialogue in its third edition will deliberate on the theme of ‘Crisis and Cooperation: Imperative in the times of Pandemic’

Aim behind this event is to help all stakeholders comprehend the changes and engage in a policy dialogue, where international, national, and local stakeholders can come together to collectively brainstorm, address and respond to the crisis.

The COVID19 has brought out some important challenges across the globe that would need coordinated and cooperative action.

In the post Covid-19 scenario, what could be better strategies to forge closer international cooperation and also to build a self-reliant India? The Dialogue examines, inter alia, these questions

Deccan Dialogue has grown as an annual flagship event, aimed at promoting multi-stakeholder conversations on India’s external engagement.

Deccan Dialogue brings together policy makers, representatives from business, diplomatic and strategic community, media, and academia on a common platform, to engage and deliberate on emerging aspects of diplomacy and development.

Earlier editions of Deccan Dialogue focussed on the theme of ‘decentralized cooperation’ (2018), and Diplomacy in the age of disruptions (2019).
