India has handed over a consignment of disaster relief materials to Nepal for distribution to flood and landslide affected families in the districts of Sindhupalchok, Kailai, Mahottari, Nawalparasi and Sarlahi.. The Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of India in Nepal Namgya C Khampa handed over the package to Chanda Chaudhry, a Member of Parliament and President of the Nepal-India Women Friendship Society (NIWFS) in Kathmandu on Sunday.

The consignment included tents and plastic sheets for the affected families in five districts of Nepal. According to DD, the entire consignment will be distributed through NIWFS in coordination with local governments in the affected districts of Sindhupalchok, Kailai, Mahottari, Nawalparasi and Sarlahi.
