Ex DG ISI General Pasha had repeatedly urged TTP leadership to fight for Pakistan against India

Former Taliban Commander Ehsanullah Ehsan has revealed Pakistan’s ISI and Pakistani Army role in so-called ‘Ghazwa e Hind’, which is a war against India. Eshan, referring to a detailed letter by ex-DG ISI General Shuja Pasha,disclosed this in a write up in Sunday Guardian, stating that Pakistan is tooth and nail in war against India and Pakistani Army and ISI are backing terrorist organizations such as Lashker-e-Tayyab (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) to fulfill Islamabad’s long-held goal.

Despite international pressure, the Pakistani army is supporting these terrorist outfits as they are fighting Pakistan’s cause Ehsanullah Eshan, former Taliban commander says in his write up.

Referring to the former DG ISI’s letter, he said General Pasha had assured Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan leadership in 2011 that if the TTP fought for the interests of Pakistan, the ISI would support them on every front.

He further revealed that the ex DG ISI in his letter, had also made an offer to the TTP leadership if the outfit gave up its armed struggle against Pakistan, the ISI would not only provide them with a safe passage against NATO forces in Afghanistan, but also provide financial and military support in every possible way.

The former Taliban commander said the then ISI chief called the TTP a necessity for Pakistan. General Shuja Pasha wrote that “we should work together to remove the misunderstandings between the Pakistan army and the TTP and work together to drive the great enemy, United States and NATO out of Afghanistan.”

Eshan said General Pasha repeatedly referred to the Indian occupation of Kashmir. In his letter to the TTP leadership, the ex-DG ISI, especially drew the attention of senior outfit leader, Maulana Wali-ur-Rehman Mehsud stating that his forefathers had fought many wars for the independence of Kashmir and had made many sacrifices because they were true and patriotic Pakistanis.

Eshan says the TTP rejected the ISI’s offer and decided to continue with their armed jihad to establish an Islamic system in Pakistan.
