UNSC has adopted a resolution seeking women’s participation in peacekeeping missions
India has hailed the decision of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for adopting a resolution seeking women’s participation in peacekeeping missions.
The Indian Permanent Representative to the UN on August 28 took to twitter to congratulate the UNSC.
“As a cosponsor of the Resolution, and with a proud tradition of deploying women peacekeepers who have served as role models. India congratulates the Security Council for adopting resolution 2538 today on women in peacekeeping.”
