NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform is working tirelessly to champion the cause of women entrepreneurship, said the NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Sunday, said a report by The Economic Times.

"The gendered lens has also been extended to the innovation landscape. Niti Aayog's own Women Entrepreneurship Platform has been tirelessly working to champion the cause of women entrepreneurship," he was quoted as saying in a panel discussion on 'Inspiring Women Changemakers: The Power of Communication, Storytelling and Advocacy' as per the report.

Kant further said that India has some great examples of women who have carved space for themselves.

The report also quoted the first woman combat aviator to fly into a war zone during the 1999 Kargil War Gunjan Saxena as saying that it was her honor to be called a “pathbreaker.”
