The Ministers spoke about ensuring equitable distribution of the Covid19 vaccine, facilitating trade, and more

Mary Ng, Federal Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade, spoke with the Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal about mutually promoting sustainable economic growth as the world recovers from the pandemic. The ministers look forward to ensuring access to equitable, timely, and affordable tests, treatments, and vaccines, as per the Global Affairs Canada statement mentioned in the Voice Online report

They also discussed facilitating access for agricultural and other food products, especially securing predictable market access for Canada’s world-class pulses to India, said the report.

According to the Voice Online report, the ministers also spoke about the ongoing negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and the Canada-India Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement. They discussed the ways to support businesses and people from both the countries in sectors like digital technology and clean technology, the report stated.
