Pakistan-based Indian High Commission’s two staffers-one, a CISF personnel and another, a driver-went missing soon after they stepped out of the mission’s premise.

Hours after India issued demarche to Pakistan High Commission’s charge d’affaires Syed Haider Shah over disappearance of the two staffers of Islamabad-based Indian High Commission on Monday morning, Pakistan handed over these two staffers to the Indian High Commission in the evening.

As per media reports, the two Indian High Commission staffers have visible injury marks on their body.

The two staffers-one CISF personnel and another a driver-went missing soon after they stepped out of the High Commission premise on Monday morning.

The Ministry of External Affairs swung into action soon after it was informed about the disappearance of the two staffers of the High Commission in Islamabad.

The MEA summoned Pakistan High Commission’s charge d’affaires Syed Haider Shah and issued demarche to him over the development.

Pakistan had claimed these two Indian High Commission staffers were arrested in a hit and run road accident case.

Arrest of the two staffers took place a fortnight after India had expelled two officials of Pakistan High Commission in Delhi on the charge of espionage.

These Pakistan High Commission staffers were caught in a market in the national capital when they were trying to procure classified information related to the movement of Indian army troops during India-China tension in the eastern Ladakh on Line of Actual Control.
