Kashmir is an integral part of Indian territory. It has been in India since ages. Yet so many neighbourhood countries and other powers are interested and entangled in Kashmir pursuing different angles and interests. This interference in India's internal affairs is continuing despite the end of the British, French and Portuguese colonial era. Impact of British colonialism is still burgeoning in the rivalry of India and Pakistan.

After the creation of Pakistan, the only major cause behind the birth of the so-called conflict between India and Pakistan is the Kabailee attack in 1947. This shows and confirms a deliberate and planned attempt to create a controversy and conflict which, in effect, has never been there in history.

The aftermath of this attack sees sprouting of a chain of events such as UN Resolution, ceasefire, creation of Pak occupied Jammu and Kashmir, recurring military rule and deeply rooted military and feudal 'democracy' in Pakistan, Kashmir 'conflict' as a major pretext of international funding for Pakistan, India-Pak wars and laters' defeat in every war with India, emergence of Bangladesh, terrorism and proxy wars sponsored by Pakistan as state policy, some Indian political leaders gaining personal benefits from such policy and industry of terrorism etc. All this followed as a chain reaction to the Kabailee attack by Pakistan on Kashmir belonging to India historically, legally and politically.

The so-called two-nation theory assigning the majority Muslim areas to Pakistan does not stand its own grounds. Every such Muslim area in India is not exclusive in nature. This theory has also been mischievous in essence for it could never be applied fully. In India, there are several such areas. But they never wanted to be part of Pakistan.

This theory has been a divisive device to divide vast, massive and united geographical and cultural entity like India. Most of the Western powers wanted to see a divided and weak India in the post-World War II international politics. The creation of Pakistan has also been an integral part of such a divisive scheme.

Mahatma Gandhi never supported this two-nation theory though it became a convenient tool in the hands of Jinnah, Nehru and Sheikh Abdullah towards securing their own national and international aspirations. Jinnah himself has never been a practicing Muslim.

It is spread of terrorism for, as it were, Jihad and Taliban elements that has led to War on Terror. This has further weakened the Western support to Pakistan and Pak sponsored terrorism against India. Otherwise, Pakistan was making a hay while the Sun of terrorism shined the world over.

Present-day relative isolation of Pakistan due to its clandestine and at times declared state policy of sponsoring terrorism is leading it to financial bankruptcy too. China, Malaysia and Turkey are supporting Pakistan in this situation of its international isolation and bankruptcy. China is with Pakistan in view of Chinese strategic aspirations in South Asia, Central Asia, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Interestingly, Pakistan gave India's Aksai Chin to China quietly in 1962. India could not do anything in this regard. One wonders if certain quarters of the then Indian political leadership was also involved in this act! Moreover, China always tried to counter even India's leading role in the non-aligned movement (NAM). China did this through launching the ill-famed Third World movement. But the emerging countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America did not like to be labelled as the "Third" world because so many of them in effect were the first to be 'civilised' in the history of the world.

It is only India and Indians who are the most leading cultural ambassadors of peaceful civilisation all over the world since time immemorial. Non-resident Indians are contributing even now in cultural, economic and technological terms to global development and peace. It is this aspect which further makes communities and leaders like Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir and President of Turkey Erdogan to side with Pakistan in the Kashmir context. They do so without looking at the historical, political and legal dimensions of the so-called Kashmir issue. That is why they interfere in internal matters of India. India will not allow this to happen now.

Erdogan's aim is also to revive the erstwhile Caliphate as the representative of all Muslims in the world. With his support to Pakistan, Erdogan wants to be the sole religious leader of all Islamic communities and countries of the world. Indeed, it all shows how interdependence is ever-increasing among nations of the world in the present age. But such interdependence is with a personal agenda and negative aspirations of political leaders. This is a dangerous sign for world peace and development. It must be controlled by the right minds.
