Near about three and a half months after the central government abrogated Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, the normal life in the Valley is coming back to the tracks speedily. Markets in the Valley have extended their business hours and public transport is getting back on the roads. A shutdown had prevailed in the Valley due to the incidents of killing of local and non-local labourers by the terrorists following the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.

For the last many days, shops in the Valley are now open for longer hours. In most parts of the Valley including Srinagar, shops now remain open till late afternoon. This is being seen as a setback for the terrorists and a success for the government which has been constantly trying to bring Kashmir back to the normal life. The government has already lifted a lot of restrictions in the Valley.
