India’s Cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage has meanwhile crossed 897 million

India's Covid-19 Weekly Positivity Rate has remained below 3% for the last 99 days now.

The figure now stands at 1.68%, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday.

The Daily Positivity rate was reported to be 1.70%. This has remained below 3% for the last 33 days and below 5% for 116 consecutive days now.

According to data released by the health ministry, the last 24 hours saw 14,29,258 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 571 million (57,19,94,990) cumulative tests.

India's Active Caseload is now 2,73,889, which is the lowest in 197 days. Active Cases constitute 0.81% of the country's total Positive Cases.

According to the ministry, 24,354 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. This figure has femained below 50,000 for 97 consecutive days.

With the recovery of 25,455 patients in the last 24 hours, the cumulative tally of recovered patients now stands at 3,30,68,599.

Consequently, India’s Recovery Rate stands at 97.86%. The Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020.

Meanwhile, with the administration of 69,33,838 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 897 million.

The figure was 89,74,81,554 doses as per provisional reports till 7 am on Saturday.

This has been achieved through 87,06,441 sessions, the health ministry said.
