India’s recovery rate, meanwhile, is at its highest peak since March 2020

With 68,42,786 vaccine doses being administered in the last 24 hours, India’s cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed the landmark of 85 crore or 850 million.

As per provisional reports till 7 am on Sunday, 85,60,81,527 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been given, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

This has been achieved through 83,64,110 sessions.

The recovery of 26,032 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,29,02,351, the ministry said.

Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.77%. The Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020.

Meanwhile, the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases has continued for 91 consecutive days now.

The last 24 hours saw 28,326 new cases being reported.

According to health ministry, the Active Caseload is currently 3,03,476. Active Cases constitute 0.90% of the country's total Positive Cases.

The last 24 hours saw 14,88,945 tests being conducted, taking the total number of tests conducted by India so far to 56,32,43,245 cumulative tests.

At 1.98%, the Weekly Positivity Rate has remained less than 3% for the last 93 days now.

The Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 1.90%. This has remained below 3% for last 27 days and below 5% for 110 consecutive days now, the health ministry said, referring to the latest data.
