The Director General Youth Services and Sports, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman lauded the efforts of the medal winners for bringing laurels to the Union Territory

Jammu and Kashmir bagged a good haul of medals in various sports disciplines during 65th National School Games this season.

Apart from winning medals in the team events, Jammu and Kashmir bagged 61 medals in the individual events in different sporting events.

According to an official handout issued here by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, J&K bagged 9 medals with 5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze in Gymnastics; 28 medals with 2 gold, 7 silver and 19 bronze in Hupkwondo; 9 bronze medals in Jeet Kunedo; 5 medals with one gold and 4 bronze in Mini Golf; One gold and 1 bronze in Field Archery; one silver in Taekwondo; one silver and one bronze in Fencing; 2 bronze medals in Skating, besides gold in Under-19 boys Tennis Cricket, silver in Tennis Ball Cricket and bronze in Under-19 girls Tennis Cricket.
